Parambikulam wildlife sanctuary is one of Kerala’s first wildlife reserves which lie in the Anamalai Hills, south of the Palghat Gap in the Western Ghats.      This marvelous Tiger Reserve in Kerala's is a virtual paradise of amazing sights. Parambikulam dam and the surrounding forest and wildlife is one of the mesmerizing spots for tourists. The 643.66 sq km area around the dam is home to rare flora and fauna.

Malampuzha Dam

Malambuzha Dam is one of the popular dams and is the largest reservoir in Kerala. The dam is located in the charming hills of the Western Ghats in the background it is a combination of a masonry dam with a length of 1,849 meters and an earthen dam, is a 6,066 ft. The dam and reservoir are located about eight kilometers from the Olavakode railway station and 13kms. The distance between the Malampuzha dam and Silent Valley National Park is 166 km long.
