Lakkam Waterfalls


Lakkam waterfall is one of the main viewpoints in Munnar.  It also five minutes' drive from the Munnar town will take you to the closest waterfall to the Munnar town. This small little waterfall 25 km away from Munnar is a part of the Eravikulam stream of Eravikulam National Park. The waterfall is surrounded by ‘Vaga trees’ which is the highlights of Lekkam. This waterfall originates from the Eravikulam Plateau. Though the stream creates many cascades, most of them are not accessible. But, due to its visual treat, this spot is one of the most preferable destinations for the visitors.  It is one of the main tributaries of Pampar River and is an idyllic spot for swimming in privacy.

Cheeyappara Waterfall



Cheeyappara Waterfall is a famous place for tourists visiting Munnar. This waterfall is located in between Adimali and Neriamangalam, it nearby to Munnar to Kochi Highway (NH 49). One of the largest waterfalls near Munnar, the Cheyyappara Falls are a view to behold. Cheeyappara Waterfalls is in the area of 2 acres of evergreen forests which are situated atop a huge rock. It often becomes base camp for trekkers and for the ones who go on nature walks into these forests. The rock, which is more than 500 acres, is the most favorite spot of mountaineers.





Thoovanam Waterfall


Thoovanam waterfall is located inside the Chinnar wildlife sanctuary, which is created by River Pambar. These waterfalls located around 60 km away from the Munnar town. You can enjoy the sights of wild flora and fauna here and it is the best scenery of Munnar. This trekking experience of Thoovanam is different from other waterfalls in Munnar. The trek begins from Alampatty Forest check post and it will around one hour to reach the waterfalls.
Valara Falls

Valara waterfall is also located between Neriamangalam and Adimali, this falls look like a Cheeyappara falls.  Valara has a chain of waterfalls which is surrounded by wide green forests.  Valara Falls is located 40 km away from Munnar. These waterfalls are surrounded by lush, dense forests that are home to a variety of animals and birds which are the major attractions of Valara falls.
